Oh, I love this woman. Elizabeth comes to group with an eagerness that is hard to match. She brings her friends, her sister and her in laws! She takes notes and nods her head...and she loses weight! Lots of weight. Elizabeth is a farm wife through and through. She does church suppers and she feeds the "men." She bakes cookies for the potluck (She couldn't not bake cookies, everybody loves her cookies!)... but she still loses weight... how?? Because she is on a mission. She has grandchildren who want and need her. She has knees that were killing her. She was on too many meds. So... she comes to group. She comes weekly. She get's ideas, she shares ideas. She shows up. If I were considering joining a RD group... I would do it now... you would be lucky to there while Elizabeth is still in the group. She is truly an inspiration and a motivation herself. How did I help you? AIM Diet Support - Accountability with Information and most important - motivation.
How did you benefit from the group? The support from the other members is a very important ingredient to stay the course to losing weight.
What was the biggest challenge you faced and what helped you get over it? Get to exercising - something just clicked and I got to biking.
Have you lost weight before, and if so, how was this process different? Through Weight Watchers, NutriSystem, Carle Weight management. This program works more on why we overeat and not just how to take the weight off.
Who do you think would benefit from the services of the Reasonable Diet? Anyone who would give it a true try and commitment.
Why do you look forward to coming to the group? For the motivation and information on how to achieve my goal and maintain what I have lost.
How do other group members affect you? They uplift me and make me feel normal in some of my thoughts and actions with my eating.
Were there any surprises? How a person could truly taste and enjoy a small piece of banana and chocolate eating it very slowly!
What is your best strategy for losing weight? Writing down everything I eat and having plenty of fruits and veggies on hand to help fill up on.
What foods did you eat most regularly? Grapefruit, fiber one- veg. pizza - lots of salad.
What recommendations do you have for losing weight? Come and be a part of the Reasonable Diet plan with Sandra leading all the way.
How did you feel about yourself before you started? Unhealthy - not wanting to be seen - unlovable - much older!
Was there an incident that prompted you to start the Reasonable Diet? Finally I got tired of thinking about losing weight everyday for the last five years and decided to give Reasonable Diet a try.
How do you feel about yourself now? Much more energy - healthier - much much happier.
