Welcome to all the new subscribers and big hello to all of you!
Dear Reasonable Diet readers,

I recently received an email from a client who lost 40+ with me almost three years ago. Here is how the email ended.
"… So thanks Sandra, for all you have done over the time we have worked together to help me see myself in a new way and to help me let go of the old self-limiting view of myself. Working with you has been the best thing I ever did, not just for losing weight, but for finding my truer self."

Tina's Time Warp

Exercycle - Laptop
You know how, when you sit at your computer your time gets sucked away … but when you are exercising, time can seem endless?
Reasonable Dieter Tina had an exercycle (that she bought at Goodwill for $10) adapted to hold her laptop. So now the time warp works in her favor. She only allows herself to surf if she is also pedaling. Genius!

Managing Time at Your Desk

Learn to manage time at your desk
Leslie was telling me she was so sucked into her work computer that she would find herself not even getting up to get a drink of water when she was thirsty. As a solution she's implementing an idea my coach gave me – although, interestingly, I had the opposite problem.
I would get up from my computer too often…and mindlessly shuffle to the refrigerator as a handy procrastination device.
The solution is a timer. In my case, I set it for 25 minutes, and at the start of those 25 minutes I decide on my task. Then I glue my butt to the chair; I close my email window; and I do the task. Read more here.
A new service from Google

Free "information" for your cell phone
Google now offers a 411 service for business listings for your cell phone. The number to call is 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) from any phone. You can either ask for a local business by name or type (for example Gas Station, Movie Theater, Dry cleaner, etc.).
This is free, whereas conventional 411 calls in the US cost $1 and higher. Google doesn’t charge users for the toll-free call or for connecting the caller to the business. Regular phone charges may apply, depending on your user’s telephone service agreement.
Words to the Wise

Quotations by Alfred Adler
~~ “Hope is the foundational quality of all change. No hope. No change.
”~~ “What do you first do when you learn to swim? You make mistakes, do you not? And what happens? You make other mistakes, and when you have made all the mistakes you possibly can without drowning - and some of them many times over - what do you find? That you can swim? Well - life is just the same as learning to swim! Do not be afraid of making mistakes, for there is no other way of learning how to live!”
Sandra’s thoughts:
