Pillar 2 - Structure

A scholar who has studied eating habits and food decisions says that on average an American makes 200 food choices a day! He also proves, through scientific studies that very few people muster up the “willpower” to make that many “good” decisions. Most diets use a counting or listing structure as a way to eliminate some of those moments of choice. 

Counting:  You can have anything to eat as long as you stay within a certain amount of calories, points, grams, etc.

Listing:
  A combination of a list of foods and rules. You can eat anything from this list, avoid all things on this list, only eat at this time, etc.

In the REASONABLE DIET you learn to evaluate different structures so that you can actually simplify your life by eliminating some of your moments of choice. 

Instead of using an off-the-shelf diet, you are given the tools to adapt it, or devise your own, or make up your own rules for “lifestyle change” --  so that you won’t abandon your practice in times of transition. You choose a structure that works for your unique personality, lifestyle and present circumstances. Pillar 3 - Information

The Reasonable Diet presumes that you want to be on a path toward a calorie appropriate, balanced, healthful diet that also allows you to enjoy indulgences. It is not lack of available information about nutrition, recipes, menus, calorie counting, restaurant choices, family-friendly dinners, etc. that stops you from moving forward on this path. Rather, overabundance of information can cause you to lose focus.

Top-down alone?

I love checking in and talking about our successes and struggles each week, but I'd like to focus more on what we're committing to for the upcoming week too. Who will be in the Sure Success Group™?

The group will consist of six to ten women who are smart and successful in most areas of their life – but have diet and wellness issues that feel like the last frontier— the one area of their  life that they have not been able to get a handle on.

Where and when do the group meetings take place?

Groups continue for 8 weeks.

What if I have to miss group? Can I attend a different meeting time, or listen into a different phone group?
You are paying for a continuous eight weeks. By the nature of our busy lives it is understood that you may have to miss a couple of weeks in any eight week session.  If you are participating via a telegroup, you’ll have access to recordings of your group for most sessions.

You will always have the written program material and resources through Project YOU™ that will be going along with our lessons, so you will be able to stay caught up. You can also log into the group forum webpage to make your check-in/check up and to keep up and communicate with the other members.
